About T H E M E and Ariella Maizner, 14 year old designer:

Theme is for big dreamers and style lovers. Centered around a limited-edition clothing collection designed by the industry's youngest designer, 14-year-old, Ariella Maizner from New York City.

After developing a love for sewing at six, Ariella dreamt of becoming a fashion designer. She had an eye for style and made handmade pieces from recycled fabric that she wore proudly to school and special events.

In 2018, at nine years old, Ariella started tie-dying on the roof of her apartment. She soon realized she had turned her passion into a business when she got hundreds of requests for custom pieces. These one-of-a-kind creations quickly became a sensation and set the current tie-dye trend in motion.

Ariella was the youngest designer to show at New York Fashion Week in 2019 presented by Rent the Runway. Her positive, youthful and fun-loving approach to design and color ignited Ariella’s career.

Ariella and T H E M E have quickly won the hearts of major influencers, stars, designers, coveted brands and most importantly teens, tweens, young kids and their parents. Her collections consistently sell out and are worn by the biggest names in social media. She gives back a portion of her sales to non-profits.

Ariella's work has been featured in Forbes and Thrive magazine recently called her a “Young Social Impact Hero” for her focus on giving back. She launched a bag collection in honor of International Women’s Day, and hosted an event bringing people together across generations to spread kindness and inspire entrepreneurship. As a young founder, she loves to collaborate with and support other small businesses.

Her collections now sell in high end boutiques across the country and Saks. Ariella sews the samples in her studio in Soho. Ariella loves to make, share and wear her designs. She started T H E M E to inspire girls to be The Me they want to be.
